Path Finders

(Entering Kindergarten)

The Path Finder program is specifically designed for children entering kindergarten and. Campers will encounter the true camp experience, while being able to challenge themselves and open their eyes to new and exciting activities, at an appropriate pace for their age and needs. Path Finders will participate in field trips (on Thursdays), arts and crafts, climbing wall, archery, special theme related activities, cooperative and team sports, swimming, and many other age-specific activities. All of this will be done under the supervision of our caring and patient staff, hired specifically to meet the needs of our littlest campers.  

Trail Seekers 

(Entering Grades 1 & 2)

For children entering the 1st and 2nd grade, the camp experience is an important time for children to develop friendships, self-esteem, and an awareness of all the fun life has to offer. The Trail Seeker program provides the campers with the opportunity to play sports, learn about nature, experience two field trips per week (on Tuesdays and Thursdays), rock climbing  and low ropes,  perform in drama workshops, swimming, and create fun arts and crafts projects and many more age-specific activities.  

Our staff provide a nurturing and exciting summer experience, while developing the vital relationships between the counselors and the campers.

Trail Blazers

(Entering Grades 3, 4 & 5)

Summer is the time to get out and have fun. Our Trail Blazers program provides children the opportunity to explore, make new friends, and to grow this summer. Our Trail Blazer campers are given the chance to attend two field trips per week (on Mondays and Wednesdays), get in touch with nature, learn new sports and games, challenge themselves on climbing walls and ropes courses, archery, sports, arts and crafts, and so much more.

 

Tweens on the Move 

(Entering Grades 6, 7, & 8)

This program offers campers maximum thrills. Campers experience field trips every day, from amusement parks and roller skating, to beach trips, overnights, and hikes.  Campers will visit Castaic Lake weekly for kayaking and stand up paddleboarding experiences.  

CILT's

(Entering Grades 9 & 10)

Valley Trails believes in creating a strong foundation by training older campers entering 9th and 10th grade who have an interest in developing skills for working in a camp or other youth service organization. The CILT program is a rich mix traditional camp activities and fun with opportunities to develop valuable leadership skills and responsibility.
